Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QuickTag mobile app, the quicktag.in website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a tag, or using any part of QuickTag, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

QuickTag is a privacy-first QR tag platform. You attach a physical tag to something you care about — a pet, a family member's bag, a travel case, or business equipment — and when someone finds it, they scan the QR code and can reach you through a masked call without ever seeing your real phone number.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account or use the Service. By using QuickTag, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you're using QuickTag on behalf of a business, family, or organization, you have the authority to bind that entity or manage the account on its behalf.

• You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If someone gains access to your account because you shared your credentials, that's on you.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at hi@quicktag.in.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

• Ownership — Once you purchase a tag, it's yours. You can attach it to whatever you want.
• QR codes — Each tag has a unique QR code linked to your profile. The QR code itself contains no personal information.
• Activation — Tags must be activated through the app before they work. An unactivated tag is just a piece of plastic.
• Relay numbers — When someone scans your tag, calls are routed through a masked relay number. You can disable this feature anytime.
• Physical care — Tags are weatherproof (IPX6 or higher), but they're not indestructible. Treat them reasonably and they'll last.

• Free tier — Your free tag stays active forever with basic scan notifications. No credit card required.
• Paid plans — Personal, Family, and Business plans unlock additional features like unlimited calls, shared dashboards, and custom branding.
• Billing — Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through our payment processors or app-store billing providers. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or the applicable app-store subscription settings.
• Price changes — We'll notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. If you don't agree to the new price, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
• Refunds — Refunds are handled according to the applicable payment provider or app-store policy. Where permitted, we may help process refund requests through support. If a refund is not issued, you keep access until the end of your billing period.
• Cancellation — Cancel anytime. Your tags drop to read-only mode (no incoming calls) but the QR stays live so we can still notify you if scanned.

You agree not to use QuickTag to:

• Violate any law or regulation, including harassment, stalking, or threatening behavior
• Send spam, phishing messages, or misleading content through the relay system
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit malware or harmful code
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tiers or circumvent limits

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules. We'll usually warn you first, but serious violations may result in immediate termination.

• Our stuff — The QuickTag app, website, logo, brand assets, and software are owned by QuickTag. You get a limited license to use the Service as intended — nothing more.
• Your stuff — You own your profile data, tag configurations, and any content you upload (like profile photos). We don't claim ownership of your data.
• License to us — By uploading content to QuickTag, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Service. We won't use it for anything else.
• Feedback — If you send us suggestions or feedback, we can use them without obligation to you. This helps us build a better product.

Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using QuickTag, you also agree to our Privacy Policy. We collect the minimum data needed to make the product work, and we never sell your data.

• No guarantee of reunions — We built QuickTag to help reunite people with their things, but we can't guarantee every tag scan results in a successful reunion. It depends on whether someone finds and scans the tag.
• Service availability — We aim for 99.9% uptime, but we can't guarantee the Service will always be available. Maintenance, outages, and factors beyond our control may cause temporary downtime.
• Third-party services — We rely on third parties for payments, calls, and notifications. If those services go down, parts of QuickTag may be affected.
• No emergency service — QuickTag is not a life-safety device. Don't rely on it for emergency situations. Call emergency services directly if needed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickTag and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

This doesn't apply where liability can't be limited by law (for example, in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct).

If someone makes a legal claim against QuickTag because of your use of the Service (for example, if you violate these Terms or use the Service illegally), you agree to cover our reasonable legal costs and damages. We won't do this lightly — we'll notify you first and work with you to resolve the situation.

• Informal resolution first — Before filing any legal action, you agree to contact us at hi@quicktag.in and try to resolve the dispute informally. We'll respond within 14 days.
• Governing law — These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
• Jurisdiction — Any disputes that can't be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

If we make significant changes to these Terms, we'll notify you through the app and on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

• You can delete your account from the app settings. We'll remove your data within 30 days.
• If you delete your account, your tags drop to read-only mode. The QR codes still work for basic scan notifications, but calls and advanced features are disabled.
• We may terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.
